New York-based duo SUSU have channeled 60s soul-pop on their latest cut, ‘Die Inside’. The track is defined by those luscious vocal melodies and harmonies, with subtle quickfire drums and bright, crunchy guitar chords underpinning Ronettes-style production. It’s a nostalgic piece of music that has been modernised and up-leveled by well throughout lyrics. They sum it up best themselves: “Eyes “witnessing our slow demise” flood with final tears. A stirring heart-rending resolution is made to end the cycle of a lovers loop.
